Medical audit as expert evidence, in criminal proceedings of professional responsibility
Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the medical audit as expert evidence in professional liability criminal proceedings. It is framed within a descriptive documentary research with analysis of legal content. The audit when ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office during the investigation stage must be duly justified following the legal order foreseen in the expert system. There are some important references not only in the Ecuadorian legal system, but also in its relationship with other legal systems, in relation to its relevance within the judicial processes from different areas.
