Socioemotional competencies in Colombian teachers: a pillar for the transformation of pedagogical practice

Keywords: Social- emotional competencies, transformation, pedagogical practice, (UNESCO Thesaurus).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct a systematic review of the literature on socioemotional competencies in Colombian teachers as a pillar for the transformation of pedagogical practice. In the methodological field, a qualitative-documentary study was undertaken, which involved the review of 21 articles from the Scopus, Scielo and Redalyc databases. Finally, as a result of the research, the absence of consensus among authors regarding its definition was evidenced, finding different approaches. Likewise, constructs such as intelligence and emotional competence presented distinctions. Likewise, it was indicated that the transformation of practice has gone beyond the confines of the school, generating a positive impact on families as they become informed and involved in the changes that have taken place in the classroom.
