Bitcoin, Trading, Cryptocurrencies in the Securities Market Law and Legal Certainty
Abstract
The overall objective of the research was to analyze Bitcoin, Trading, Cryptocurrencies in Securities Market Law and Legal Security. The method was developed through inquiry, collection, and critical analysis of documents and bibliographic references, based on a methodical, rigorous, and in-depth exploration of various documentary sources consisting of peer-reviewed articles, laws, regulations, and agreements, describing the findings. Document review was used as a technique. The inductive-deductive method was also used. It is concluded that, in Ecuadorian legislation, cryptocurrencies are not yet regulated, and worse still, there are no institutions in charge of control. It is essential that legal regulations be established for the control and regulation of cryptocurrencies, as well as the existence of an institution in charge of keeping a register or record of those who manage electronic wallets.
