Nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women and maternal and infant morbidity
Abstract
The general objective of the research was to analyze nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women and maternal and infant morbidity. The methodology used was based on the quantitative approach, wielding the collection and study of a documentary-bibliographic typology, which allowed the analysis of the object of study, in this way the researchers planned the work from a study population based on documents, scientific papers, refereed journals, theses, analyzing and formulating the contributions. The conclusion was reached that, thanks to the analysis, certain behaviors assumed by future mothers can be corrected, in some cases due to lack of information or customs rooted in their families. Public health management should increase programs and support plans to guarantee an integral gestation process and a successful pregnancy. Awareness campaigns and nutritional workshops are recommended, with detailed information from the beginning of the pregnancy.
