Child exploitation in the labor field, Puyo, Ecuador

Abstract

The present research was to analyze child exploitation in the labor field, Puyo, Ecuador. The researchers considered carrying it out from the quantitative paradigm, it was also framed from a documentary-bibliographic design, since it analyzes and studies a series of data obtained related to the topic, the documentary research is a process based on the inquiry. In this sense, the researchers relied on laws, refereed articles, theses, international agreements, among other bibliographic references that support this inquiry. It is concluded that child labor is a serious problem, deeply rooted in Puyo, in its most brutal form. The participation rate of children in the labor force is high. In addition, the fact that the child works reduces schooling by about two years. The lack of education will affect the future life of the exploited children, as they did not receive an academic or values education and robs them of their childhood.
