Didactic strategies for the promotion of a sustainable environmental culture
Abstract
This article focused on analyzing the incidence of an environmental pedagogical project as a didactic strategy for the promotion of a favorable culture and the sustainable management of the environment. The study was based on the quantitative approach, with an explanatory scope and experimental design; data collection was done through Likert and dichotomous questionnaires applied to 4th grade students at El Santuario District Technical School in Barranquilla (Colombia). The research was divided into three stages: the first focused on making a diagnosis through a pretest; in the second, an intervention proposal was designed and, in the last stage, the incidence of the implemented strategies was evaluated. The research concluded that the strategies that promote positive attitudes from the affective, cognitive and behavioral dimensions are effective in promoting changes in attitudes towards the development of a favorable environmental culture.
