Femicide as a consequence of social isolation in times of pandemic, Pastaza, Ecuador
Abstract
The general objective of this research was to analyze femicide as a consequence of social isolation in times of pandemic, Pastaza, Ecuador. In the development of this research, the researchers considered carrying it out from the quantitative paradigm, in addition it was framed from a documentary-bibliographic design. This was a documentary type of research since bibliographic information sources were used to allow the theoretical and historical construction of the facts of the research. In this sense, we relied on norms, refereed articles, international agreements, among other bibliographic references that support this documentary research. It is concluded that femicide constitutes an extreme form of violence based on the gender condition. The social isolation resulting from the COVID19 pandemic was the detonator of this hidden reality in society, since the victims were forced to live together with their aggressors on an interrupted basis, since from the year 2021 there was an increase.
